Justin Giordano holds a Juris Doctor degree and an MBA in Finance.
His areas of academic expertise, research, and teaching interests include:
Law, principally constitutional, business, international, music and entertainment law;
Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, including music entrepreneurship;
United States Economic Policy, particularly as it impacts and affects domestic, societal, global and the geo-political arena;
Music and Entertainment Industry; and
Business Environment, including international business.
He also teaches the following courses in the Master of Business Administration (MBA): Scanning the Business Environment, The Entrepreneur: Creativity and Innovation,
Small Business Entrepreneurship, The Legal Aspects of Entrepreneurship, International Business Law.
As a recipient of numerous academic and professional awards and fellowships, including the SUNY Empire State College’s Arthur Imperatore Community Fellowship,
SUNY Empire State College Scholar Across the College, multiple Direct Marketing Association Fellowships and invitations to the International Radio and Television
Society’s Faculty/Industry conferences, Justin Giordano’s background encompasses an eclectic and diversified slate of achievements. He has also held a full array
of academic governance positions, including Empire State College Senate Chair and Vice-Chair, Faculty Chair for the ESC Metropolitan Center, chair of the Middle
States Self-Study Steering Committee’s Leadership, Governance and Administration task force, Chair and Co-Chair of the University Faculty Senate Programs and
Awards Committee, Campus Governance Leader, member of the SUNY Governance Committee, Publications
(and Communications) Committee and others.
His professional memberships and affiliations, currently and over the course of his career, includes the American Bar Association (ABA); New York State Bar Association
